The DirtWhacker Primary scraper is mounted at the head pulley and serves as the initial contact for removing bulk material from the conveyor belt, referred to as carryback. They are highly efficient and yet the conveyor belt top cover is exposed to minimal wear. Our primary scrapers are available in a variety of widths ranging from 450mm up to 3000mm in 150mm increments. The DirtWhacker uses a blunt blade with a tungsten carbide insert that is hard wearing and effective in accommodating thermal shock.
