Installation

The experienced team at DirtWhacker can assist with all of your DirtWhacker installation requirements.

Before installation we undertake a review of your current equipment and setup to ensure a smooth transition through to one of our products.  Installation is performed by our team of highly trained technicians and backed with both equipment and workmanship guarantee.  The existing scrapers are removed, any modifications required are made to the side chute openings, DirtWhacker brackets installed, DirtWhacker scrapers installed, adjusted and air pressure settings and tested. We either use the manual air system or we convert to an automating air regulator, ensuring that the air pressure inside the bladder remains at a constant pressure allowing for optimum performance at all times.

Maintenance & Servicing

We offer full maintenance and servicing options by our team of dedicated technicians. The maintenance can be carried out on site either during planned shuts or emergency stoppages. Our team will attend site and carry out the following:

  • Check the blade wear and replace where necessary
  • Clean and grease moving parts where necessary
  • Undertake a comprehensive inspection for any damage to components that may require replacing
  • Adjust the pressure of the bladder for optimal performance
  • Set the scraper to ensure it is operating efficiently

Training

We offer comprehensive on-site training using our state-of-the-art mobile demo trailer ensuring that your staff are able to carry out basic adjustments and maintenance. We also offer various training material in the form of manuals and videos.

Refurbishments

We offer a range of refurbishments options from basic blade changes to complete rebuilds of the DirtWhacker unit, ensuring a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new unit. All refurbishment work is undertaken at our Krugersdorp factory or at a facility closer to site. Any new parts will be quoted on before commencement of work. We recommend a full refurbishment every 12-18 months, our DirtWhackers can be refurbished least 10 times.

We are available for any problem resolution whether telephonically or on site. We also offer a range of videos and manuals to assist with any trouble shooting.
